Apprentice & Trainee online OHS induction
HVTC has now successfully launched an online OHS induction process for all new apprentices & trainees. The video induction has been specifically designed and created to target Generation Y and was funded by an education training grant with WorkCover assistance.
Acting Manager of Safety Services Melinda Binkins says “Having an electronic system instead of a paper system streamlines the entire process of the induction of apprentices and trainees.”
The induction video is a comprehensive induction program that has been designed to improve safety behaviours and attitudes of our future tradespeople and workforce.
HVTC’s aim is to educate and equip apprentices & trainees with the skills and knowledge to work safely and identify workplace hazards.
The online induction process marks an exciting and important step to introduce apprentices and trainees to HVTC and assists to promote and reinforce the company’s total commitment to OHS.
